Looking for John Guthrie of Ennis County Clare Ireland

John Guthrie born 1843 emigrated to NZ possibly via Australia. He owned a Gold mine on the West Coast of NZ and managed the Parapara goldmine for a time. He married Catherine Carmody from o'Briansbridge Aherima County Clare in 1875 at Charlestown. They met in NZ. I would like to find his father also called John Guthrie, I know he was a farmer but that is all. Thanks
