The word of "Cassie" tells me that the name is indication that she is of a Mixed-Blood tribal indian heritage & perhaps some % of Black Heritage.
The name Cassia is the same as Keziah / Kasiah...a name originating from Bibical times, daughter of Job...and spelled different with the varous types of languages.
There was a John Stuart, adopted by Chief Attakullakulla a cousin to Nancy Ward (Nanye-hi) of the Wolf Clan (Cherokee)..and this John Stuart became a Supertindent of Indian Affairs, in the 1700's.
Chief Attakullakulla was of Cherokee-Shawnee & Seminole.
The Seminole Tribe...never was a tribe on it's own...it is renegade indians...who were given that name, which means si-mi-no-li...seminole
indians...many of whom had suffered during an epidemic of Smallpox, & scarred their faces & they looked like Wild Warriors / Outlaws...and they were angry that the Smallpox had been brought to America by the European People, who were taking over their lands.
I am seeking information on John Stuart of this family connection which is probably of the same John Stuart connection as you are seeking information on.
