Looking for Larney Robert of England

I have traced his spouse Florence Grace Margan back many generations but can find nothing back on Robert.He was a stoker in the Navy and in 1921 was recorded as Quay labourer. His son Robert Sydney Larney is my grandfather and immigrated to Australia in 1923. He also was in the Navy.
