Looking for Loase of Michigan Originally Came from Alsace Lorraine

I am a direct descendant of the Loase family. Discovered yesterday that my family originated from Alsace-Lorraine.
my 2x great grandfather was John F Loase from Michigan born 1838 Married to Isabella Griffith . my assumption is they came through Canada however not able to verify that at this time as I am unable to locate John F Loases' father and mother. anyone with information linking them to my 3x great grandfather would be awesome. cheers Amy Loase-Ruel
