Query by mrsbumble

I am trying to trace my uncle, his name was/is patrick FINNEGAN, I havnt got a d.o.b for him but approx between 1921-1926,his parents were mathew and Bridget FINIGAN (note the spelling) nee geraghty. His father was born may 1870 and on his birth certificate his surname was spelt FINEGAN, he was born in Termonfeckin,Drogheda co louth, he was a merchant seaman and lived in liverpool, i dont no when they moved to liverpool, he died aged 74 1947.his mother was born in kells in 1894 she lived in church lane kells, they married in liverpool in 1928 they were Roman catholics, and lived in Clayton street liverpool, they had 5 children, but i think patrick was born before they were married, thier next son was born in april 1929,another son may 1930, and then 2 daughters later, the mother died in 1963 and are both buried in liverpool.i no patrick was alive in 1963-4 as he came to visit my parents,i was told that he was a merchant seaman but i cant find any proof of this, i also heard that he might of been a vagrant, we tried to trace him through the salavation army a few years ago, to no avail, there is also talk that he might of jumped ship and gone to new Zealand, but im not sure where to begin tracing him on that one, any help would be great as we have been searching for him for many years.
