Looking for Macdonald Edward Ambrose
I am looking for decendents of Edward Ambrose McDonald. He was one of the first settlers in Tiny Township, County of Simcoe. He was given Lot 114, Concession 1, in Tiny. Born in 1817, worked for the North West Company, then farmed and then worked as a mail carrier.
My Name is Allen MacDonald. My fathers name was Ambrose Edward McDonald, Born 1907. My Grand Father was Finlay Ronald McDonald, Born 1873 in Sturgeon Bay Mills, Tay Township. My Great Great Grand Father was Hugh Allan McDonald, Born 1842. But that is where my information stops.
Tiny and Tay Townships border against each other. the difference in age between Edward and Hugh is 25 years making a possibility that they are father and son but I can not find any ties. There is a chance that Edward might have been Metis. He had a brother named Miles that moved to the Meaford area and a sister (no name) that married a Man named Gravett that came from Drummond Island.
Any help would be Great.
Thanks
