Looking for Maternal Roots

My grandfather was John Riley Thompson, He went by the name Riley. He was married unk time and place to Blanche Estella Morehead. She went by the name Stella. I believe she died around 1936 at an unknown location. I have no idea where either was born. Family Bible gives the following information.

John Riley Thompson, b. 1895(?) d. 1963
Father: Joseph Mathew Thompson (?)
Mother: Martha Ethel Davis (?)

Blanche Estella Morehead. b. (?) d. 1936 (?)
Father: Richard M. Morehead (?)
Mother: Cora (E) Alice(?) Howgy(?)

Riley Thompson lived in the Indian territories. I know he also lived in California for sometime. Family stories say he was married a couple of times. Family stories also say grandmother was Cherokee

I can find nothing on the name Howgy(?) it is possibly an anglicized Cherokee name.
