Their parents were Robert William, born Co.Down Ireland, & Jane Elizabeth, nee Ruse born Cornwall, England. Robert & Jane & 2 of their children, Jane Elizabeth & Thomas Richard, later emigrated to New Zealand. It appears Eliza & Alice did not.
I can't find any info in Australia on them, (apart from their birth) I would love to know where they went and what happened to them. Their other daughter MaryAnn born 1859 in Dover England, after leaving Australia emigrated to Guernsey in the Channel Islands where she married Nicolas Adams.
Robert's death notice in 1920, the wording suggests they were deceased (along with other members of the family).

I couldn't find any marriage for Robert to Jane Ruse in England, do you know where they were married?? any I couldn't locate them in the 1861 Census.
Do you have any details of their departure from Aust. & arrival in NZ, dates etc.
I couldn't find any deaths or marriages for Eliza, Jane or Alice Ann in NSW.

Robert jnr. died in Dover in 1861, the year of his birth.
The 1861 census has them listed in the Kent county, registration district,Dover; Robert W McCombe, Head, 27 - Gunner Royal Artillery, born Ireland. Jane listed as wife, 20, born Cornwall,
St.Germans and Mary Ann, daughter 1, born Kent, Dover.
Robert, Jane, Thomas & Jane emigrated from Aus. to Auckland on the "Woodlark' in 1873.
Jane Elizabeth, daughter,married on 13 May, 1885 in Ormond, Gisborne,New Zealand to John Fizelle (Fitzell).
I"m presuming that Eliza & Alice Ann may have emigrated to Guernsey, Channel Islands with their sister MaryAnn, although they were quite young. If they stayed in Australia you would think there would be a record somewhere.
I have found a Lizzie McCoombe in the 1881 Channel Islands census, listed as Boarder, 18, servant, Ireland, although the birth country isn't always correct. No sign of her in the 1891 census, probably was married at that time.
No sign of Alice, maybe she married in Guernsey between the census'?
