Looking for Mcdowells from Limerick Ireland

My grand father Andrew Mcdowell left limerick about 1875 to come to New Zealand.
He married Sarah Mclean 1899 in New Zealand.They had 12 children but only 8 lived to adult hood.
I would like to know more about the mcdowells from Ireland.
