Looking for Mcghehey S IN Arkansas

Barnaus McGhehey and Mrs. Underwood had one child, George McGhehey. Who was his wife and who were their children?

I am a decendant of John Barnabas McGhehey>George Washington McGhehe>Lucinda Caroline McGhehey>William Henry Sharp etc. The names Willit, Carrie, Wayland etc are not familiar to my branch of the family. Try the Ohio or Missouri McGheheys.

I guess I spoke too soon. I did some research and found these children. John 'Barnabas' McGhehey> George Washington McGhehey Sr> George Washington McGhehey Jr> had his first family with Virginia Moore...Robert Benton, John Henry, Margaret Charlotte, Laura Virginia, and after she died he married Amanda J. Hudson...Cora May, William L, Sidney Beauregard (female), Susan Florence, George Winfield, Joseph Dean, Levi Cleveland, and Bertha Agnes. To answer the questions of "qumranis". I believe Cyrus McGhehey who married Sarah Busby very well could be another son of 'Barnabus'. George Washington McGhehey Sr was married to Charlotte G Vancil, mother of his children. Late in life to Isabella Morris.

I am a great granddaughter to Everett Vernon McGhehey, a brother of George Wayland McGhehey. The children I have listed for Robert "Big Bob" McGhehey and Etta "Ettie" Carrie Wayland are: Cicero (died as an infant), Walter Benton, Fred Henry, William "Willie" Townsend, Carrie Hannah, George Wayland, Ethel May, Rose Zettie, and Everett Vernon. Everett was killed when he was 23, and then his wife, my great grandmother, Virginia (Blake) McGhehey and her parents, Jesse and Rachel (Hayse) Blake, and daughter, Maudine (my grandmother) who was 3 yrs old, left AR and moved to MO. This is why I don't know any of the McGhehey family, but I would like to reconnect.

Sidney Beauregard McGhehey was my grandfather and was obviously NOT female. My father was Albert Sidney McGhehey, Sr. and my brother was Albert Sidney McGhehey, Jr. I am originaly from Black Rock, Lawrence County, Arknsas and I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee now. My e-mail is terry8003@comcast.net
