Looking for Mcquarries from the Girthon Gatehouse of Fleet Area of Kirkcudbright Shire

My dads family lived at Syllodioch near girthon old parish church...his grandfather john came to gatehouse in 1835 to work in the cotton mills he was a cotton spinner ..her married a local girl mary alexander..they had two sons john and Laughlan..and 4 daughters agnes...rebecca catherine and mary...my father remembered a new z marraige notice in the wigtownshire free press in the early years of the 1900's..announcing a Mcquarrie wedding...my grandfather was john mcq gamekeeper on the cally estate ...my dad was hector mcq..i'm hoping this may ring some bells ..would be good to reconnect...Jean mcq.
