Looking for Myer Meier Schureck IN Brisbane

I have long been curious to learn about my great-grandfather. The family gossip is that he disowned my grandfather, Alan Meier(?) when he married a gentile, Constance Edith Henshaw.
It seems he had a business in Queen Street, Brisbane - Schureck's Job Warehouse - but I have been unable to find much more about him.
