Looking for Orr Kerrigan Family Informatio Culdaff Moneydarragh Donegal Ireland

My family and grandmother come from Moneydarragh in Co. Donegal and I remember the Orr name myself being mentioned in conversations.

I believe your relatives may by buried in St. Mary's Church, Culdaff, Co. Donegal as indeed are most of my family. I hope the following link works:

Thanks so much for your response. I would appreciate any information or contacts that you can provide. I know that some of our relatives are buried at St. Mary's Church. We have been trying to find out where Patrick Orr and Sarah Kerrigan Orr are buried.

We do have a McLaughlin in our line. Michael McLaughlin married Mary Orr (b. 13 Nov 1866). Mary is the daughter of Patrick Orr and Catherine Lafferty. Also, Neil McLaughlin was listed as grandson in Catherine Lafferty Orr's will. We believe he may be Michael and Mary Orr McLaughlin's son but we have not been able to find his birth record. Any information that you have on these McLaughlins or Orrs would be sincerely appreciated.

I will ask my parents and some locals when I am back in Donegal at Christmas. Before St. Mary's Church in Culdaff, a lot of Moneydarragh residents went to Ballincrae Church (closest Church to Moneydarragh). There are a number of Orr's buried in this graveyard including a Patrick and Sara Orr. It may not be the same family but worth trying:

There is someone in Moneydarragh who has done the Lafferty family tree so I am sure they will be able to help on your research.

Thanks for your response. Thanks for the information on the Ballinacrae Church link. I did check it and I believe we are related to the Orrs listed.

You mentioned that someone in Moneydarragh has done the Lafferty family tree. Do you have their name and contact information?

Haven't heard from you in quite a while. I hope you are well.

Just checking back as we have connected with an Orr cousin in Redcastle, Co. Donegal. She has located a McLaughlin man in Moneydarragh who has worked on the Lafferty line. We are trying to figure out if he is the same person you mentioned. Can you please tell me his full name and "nickname" if he has one.

We have been making good progress on our Orr line with the help of our Redcastle Orr cousin.
