Looking for Parents and Siblings of Edward Carroll Who Died IN 1871 IN Gaston County North Carolina
Edward Carroll was listed as 26 years old in 1870 census of Gaston County North Carolins. His wife was Barbara A. Evans. He had 2 sons. John William and James Edward. He died in the Spring of 1871 before his second son was born. John William is my Grandfather.
Barbara was the daughter of Moses Evans and she married Martin Van Buren Johnson in 1876. They had 4 children. A son was listed in 1880 as 13 years old ( France R. ). Who was his mother?
By the 2 boys being very young we have no history of the Carroll family. That is why we are at a dead end looking for Edward's parents. No luck in finding them in an earlier census.
