Looking for Parents of Emma Hays
My three times great grandmother Emma Hays married William Henry Ackley in Brantford, Ontario Canada in 1858. It says she was born in Canada between 1836-1838. I am trying to find out who her parents were and where they were born.
I see that in a later census taken in Michigan for Emma Ackley (Hays) that her parents were born in Canada but it does not say where in Canada or what her parents names were. I did happen to find in a marriage certificate search that William Henry Ackley age 21 East Oxford Born: Canada married Emma Hays 22 Townsend Born: Canada witness: James Baldwin on Onondaga and Daniel Tiff Townsend, 16 June 1858 by a Romulus B. Cook, Methodist E. Church. I was hoping that the marriage information would show the parents names of Emma Hays but it does not. Does anyone have any idea of where I could find such information?
