Looking for Parents of John Stuart Strachan I from Bridgeport Connecticut
I know his parents are buried in Connecticut next to his brother Billy. I never knew them, and I don't know their names. My grandfather was born in 1945, if this helps. If I could get his parents names I could probably get a lot further in my personal research

I found out my great grandfather's name was William, but my dad couldn't remember his wife's name. She was of French decent however. Also that they moved from Thornton, Mar District in Scotland and came through Ellis Island

Hello, I need to know the name of your grandfather that was born in 1945? There is no Billy in Connecticut. There is a William W. Strachan and he was born in 1913 died in 1942. His tombstone says Beloved Husband of Johanna Dougherty and Beloved son of Alexander and Annie W, Strachan. However I also went looking for Alexander Strachan and he is not buried in Connecticut neither is Annie. I found Several Alexander's and I did find Annie W. Strachan Arone. She was born 1919 and died Oct 16, 1973. I guess she had remarried?? I found several Alexander's that are from Scotland and one from Ireland. However they are not buried in Connecticut. I found several buried in Kansas. One was buried in Ionia county, Michigan that one was from Ireland. If you go through Find A Grave, put in Alexander Strachan and put in Kansas and all counties, he will come up. I believe there are about 80 Alexander Strachan in the United States. I found one John S. Strachan born Aug. 16, 1905 died Jan. 18, 1974

I am not sure this will help But I don't know who your grandfather is but I know there is not a John Stuart Strachan buried in Connecticut. His name is John Stuart Strachan, and his Birthday specifically is April 9, 1945. I know both of his parents and his brother (probably named William as well, I think Billy was a nickname) all died young.
