Looking for Parents of Samuel Howard

Samuel was born abt 1792 in VA and died 1840-1841 in TN. Census records of children show he was born in VA but no documented proof. He married Frankey Blackburn in 1818 in Dandridge, Tennessee. All their children were born in Jefferson County, TN. After he died most if not all the children moved to Kentucky. Cannot find Frances' (Frankey's) parents either so that is no help. Frankey disappeared after the 1840 census. There are many Samuel Howard's born in VA so it's easy for people to connect the wrong line to my Samuel. Thanks for any help you can give.
