I have Parks in Iowa My husband is Thomas Parks his father was Thomas Parks Sr,Grandfather Arnold Parks GG John Parks. I do not have alot of info on John and do not have anything further back. Arnold lived around the Fort Dodge area in Moorland.

Charles S. Parks mrd Jennette Henderson on 7/4/1870 in Chickasaw Co., Iowa

David M. Parks served in the 44th Ia. Inf., Co. H, in the Civil War

Edna Parks was a teacher at Maple Grove School, Boone Co., 1897-98.

Grace Parks taught school in Beaver, Boone Co., in 1894.

Levi Parks was killed on 8/2/1864 at Nick-A-Jack Creek, GA. while serving with the 16th Ia. Inf., Co. K., in the Civil War.

Martha Parks married Silas Fisher on 6/16/1868 in Chickasaw Co.

Mary Jane Parks married Nelson FOx on 12/25/1860 in Chickasaw Co..

Samuel S. Parks was wounded at Shiloh on 4/6/1862 and was captured on 8/27/1864. He served with the 16th Ia. Inf., Co. K..

Thomas S. Parks was authorized, for 10 years, to keep a ferry across the Mississippi at a certain point in Jackson Co.. (1842)
