Looking for Porter of Eastern Oregon

My father was raised in Halfway, OR, left for the Navy in WWII and returned to Oregon in lat 30's or early 40's. There were 5 boys and 1 girl in the family. I am looking for any information prior to their being in Halfway. I have found the grave site for Uncle Royal, unknown where Uncle Carl is buried. Dad is in the VA cemetery in Portland. This is my first try at finding info online and I may have left out some needed names or other required data. Thanks ahead of time for any assistance.
