My grandparents emmigrated from Saborsko in the early 1900's. I recently visited Saborsko but could find no grave markers for my great-grandparents born about 1860.
My great grandfather's first wife was a Matovina. Her name was Agatha Matovina, but at the time we did not know that. We visited Saborsko in 2006 and we did see Matovina grave markers, but not sure I have photos or a record. We spoke to a Matovina in the graveyard while we were there. My great grandfather was Petar Vukovic. His second wife was Jela Sertic which we did not know at the time either.
