There is a family tree on Ancestry for John Thomas Malone , father Patrick. mother Winifred. It states John married Grace Parnell in Sydney on August 14th 1909.There is quite a lot there for you to read that may help.
One of the trees, the Burns Family Tree (whoever that is, I wish I could connect with them) is most interesting, it appears that the other trees are mine/my cousin's. The Burns tree gives a year and country of birth for both of my great grandparents, so that is a huge help if it is correct.
I will try and search for John Thomas Malone with the new information above and see if it works!! I am so keen to find John's family, I believe he is the last WWI war veteran to be commemorated with an Office of War Graves memorial in Australia, which I had applied for on his behalf ... his unmarked grave was transformed into a memorial grave in January 2015, after my family lost contact with him in 1920!
