Looking for Richard Thomas Selby was Last Known to Reside Missouri

I am the great grandson of Richard Thomas Selby
I am still trying to find out if he was ever in Missouri. He stopped in Missour on his way to Kansas. I don't think he ever lived there for any length of time. Records show he was in Kansas from 1880 to 1895. He died in 1897. I suspect he died in Kansas and was buried on his farm. His wife, Lurinda died and is buried in Liberty Kansas.
