Looking for Robert Jones IN Scotland

Want to know best way to research for ancesters from Scotland from the early 1800's. Robert Jones was married to Mary McCammon and parents to Joseph Jones who was born in Feb 1850 in Scotland but died in Trumbull County, Ohio. Any tips folks have would be great. thanks
