my mcilrath ancesters were married to some shaws. i think they settled first in new jersy about the early to mid 1700s, then they were early settlers of ohio, oberlin ohio cuyahoga which is now cleveland. the mcilraths and shaws were prominent settlers of early cuyahoga ohio, theirs a shaw university i think sarah mcilrath shaw donated a large sum of money to the university, she had no children. im guessing this was probably early to mid, 1800s. if any one has any info please let me know, many thanks, kristine mcilrath lee
