Looking for Smith IN Oklahoma

My grandparents Elra Lee Smith and Beulah Maxine (Reese) Smith moved to Michigan in 1952. Elra Lee is originally from Oklahoma, and she was from Missouri. I dont know much of my grandfather, but know his fathers name was Joseph. Elra had 9 brother and sisters... My father cant remember all the names, but these are the ones he can remember... Jackie (female), Arthur, Bertha (femal), Jesse (male). They are of Choctaw descent.
I have been trying to research the family name for several years through Ancestry.com, and have not really found the information.
Elra was born around 1920. I am not sure where he fell in line of his siblings. His father was born in the late 1890's.
I had met my great aunt Jackie several times as a child, she was married and her last name was Johnston. I have not been able to tack that part of the family either.
