Hello Elvirafire. I've done a little bit of family search involving Maltese families and firstly I have to say there are probably more Spiteri's in Australia than back in Malta, Spiteri is a very common name. Do you know what part of Malta they came from and which state in Australia did they migrate to. I was in St.Pauls Bay a couple of years ago and my grandaughter was there last August. I know Spiteri's there.
Fortunately this message goes out on google and you may be lucky and get contact from a relative. Some approximate dates will help.

Hi Elvirafire, there are 494 Spiteri's in Victoria in the white pages phone book, many around Melbourne but several families scatted throughout the Gippsland region. I am sure I was at school with a girl Spiteri in Bairnsdale.
As above further information would be helpful.

Indeed! When I was 15 Sam Spiteri taught me some words, he didn't hear at the local Catholic church. A few years later he made his mother proud and joined the Christian Brothers.
