Looking for Steinauers
I have been doing research on our tree and have gone back
to 1266 so far. My Great Great...Grandfather Joseph
Anton Steinauer and his children arrived sometime during
the 1850's from Switzerland. I do know the family was in
Cincinnati for awhile but lost track of the rest of them
except my great great grandfather Benedict who fought in
the Civil War and is buried in Seattle.
What I am looking for is what happened to the rest of
the family and how did Benedict get to the pacific northwest.

Hello My grandfather was Frank Joseph Mana his sisters name was Catherine and she married Anton Steinauer b: 28 Mar 1902 d:28 Jun 1988. He lived in San Francisco ands was know for being a master woodcarver from Switzerland. His daughter Rosalie (only child) is still alive and living in San Francisco. I hope this helps you.
