Looking for Stevens of Nottinghamshire

I am trying to trace Charles Stevens born Edingly 1813 aprox. He married Lydia Groom 1836 England. Emigrated to Wellington New Zealand leaving Graves End, 1841 on the Clifton arriving Port Nicholson N Z 1842.I have been unable to find any information on this family between the marriage in England, and arrival in New Zealand, other than the regestration of their two children, Caroline and James.
They should have been on the 1841 censis somewhere.
