Looking for Stokes Family Franklin Indiana
My Grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Stokes - Lisby.... From Franklin Indiana. She Married Forest Lisby they lived in Franklin IN most of their lives. They had 3 Sons Conrad Lisby, Marion Lisby, and Richard Lisby.
to the best of my knowledge the stokes family has Native American heritage, which I would like to know more about.

I don't know much about Mary Elizabeth Stokes, but here is what I know.
Her and Forrest had 3 sons Marion, Richard and Conrad(my grandfather).
Conrad was full blooded Cherokee Indian, he married Margaret Mae Smith and had 2 sons and 4 daughters John(my dad), Forrest, Betty, Carolyn, Karen and Linda Lisby.
I think Mary's parents names are Thomas Stokes and Roseanna(maiden name unknown), but not sure
