Would like to know if anyone who has a Strickland Family Tree, have come across the name Fletcher Strickland, born in 1892. He married an Iris Gunn of Ga.

Hi Martha, On the 1940 Census for Clarke Co, GA are Fletcher Strickland 48 b Georgia, Iris 35 b Alabama, Clifford (daughter) 14 b Georgia and Joanne 10 b North Carolina. In the 1930 Census for Athens City, Clarke Co, Fletcher (working at Cotton Mill) is 38, Iris 25, Clifford 4 and Joanne 4 months. They are all described as born in Georgia, but I absolutely believe what is written in 1940. Andrew Wilson
That is my grandfather, But according to my mother he was born ia Al. The problem is the 1910 Census, it listed a Lizzie Strickland as the Mother, Clorinda as the daughter, Fletcher as the grandson and Lettie as the granddaugher. A Lettie Harbin is listed in the funeral notice for Fletcher. Thanks
