Looking for surnames: Charles Edwin HEWITT of Courtland County NY, b.1850 in Orange County, NY - d.?? Who were his parents? and what happened to his son Charles W?

Erastus Lathrop of NY, b.1819 - d.1897, married Maria Kiezer NY, b.1825 - d.4-26-1885. Parents of Mianda Lathrop NY, b.12-27-1845 - d.10-20-1910, who married Charles Edwin HEWITT ca. 1870-74. They had two sons, Charles W. HEWITT NY, b. 1874/5? - d.???? and Arthur Leigh HEWITT NY, b.3-22-1878 - d.7-17-1958 (my grandfather). Mianda and her son, Arthur, later moved to Oregon where Mianda married Stephen Tillotson. It appears that son, Charles, stayed behind with a relative, Asahael Tillotson, according to the 1880 US Census of Cortland County, NY.
