Looking for Thomas Midkiff Midcalf Madkiff of Maryland OR Virginia IN Early 1700s

I am researching the origins of the Louisiana Midkiffs and have gotten as far back as John Midkiff/madkiff in 1740. I am trying to locate Thomas; I am finding two strings of information with a Thomas Midkiff about the same time, but the children don't agree to John's tree. Let me know if you have found anything.
