Looking for Thorp of Adaminaby

I am looking for any information on the family of George and Harriet Thorp who built their house named "Walpole" in the late 1800's. I would like to know if the house is still standing or whether it was either shifted to Adaminaby New Town or demolished at the time when the Snowy Mountain hydro scheme was built.
