This is information from a County History in Michigan:
Samuel Turner was born in Rensselaer County New York, on 25 April 1816 and remained in that county until the death of his parents. On 6 June 1849 he married Grace McLaughlin, who was born Washington County New York, 16 March 1827. By 1850 they are living in Wisconsin, Jefferson, Palmyra Township. I cannot find this family in New York
Three children were born to this couple: Robert A, born 11 September, 1851; Daniel, born 29 June 1854; and Mary A. born 28 October 1857.
