Wallace was an IRONMONGER - prior to their wedding Wallace was working at the Hawkes Bay Iron Foundry. His fellow work mates presented him with a marble timepiece as a mark of respect and esteem. The presentation was made by W. D. RICHARDSON who made a speech expressing the pleasure it gave him to make the gift on behalf of all his fellow workmen on the eve of the marriage, to one so highly esteemed. He wished him every happiness in the future. They all then adjourned to Mr GLASS's hotel to celebrate

1901 - Archie Wallace Simmonds - married Mabel BAYLIS (1904-1964) in 1923 - Archie died in 1969 aged 68
1903 - Elsie Simmonds - at the age of 10 Elsie went to a birthday party in Khandallah Wellington for the 2 daughters of Mrs CUTHBERTSON. 13 December 1909 - Francis "Frank" Glen Simmonds - Frank married Hazel Sarah Anne MORGAN (1916-1999) in Oct 1935 - Hazel was born in Eltham, Taranaki, the 14th of 15 children of Frederick Henry MORGAN & Isabella Elizabeth FRAME. Her father was a Landscape Gardener in Conway Rd, Eltham - Frank died in 1991 aged 99
