Dear ascook, Hi there.

Try posting a new topic/message (after joining up as a free member) at RootsChat. com - Emigrants - General.

Post a duplicate message at the Emigrants to United States and also the Emigrants to Canada childboards.

I have ancestors in France and that is very difficult to research unless you know the village/town that they came from. Do a search here on familytreecircles for france, as I'm sure I supplied links regarding French genealogy. Also search for free, freebies and newbies.

Do you know who your Miranda married, children's names etc.? And how do the other surnames of MATHEWS, KIRBY and LAWSON fit in?

The more info you share, the better your chances of obtaining more data.

Tip: Add your surnames at the bottom of each journal, separated by a comma.

Alison.

Is this Sue? Aunt Bonnie told me that Thomas Jefferson Lawson married Miranda Kirby. His father was John Lawson, Sr. The Kirby and Whiteheads married somewhere along the line. She thinks the whitehead we are looking for is Elizabeth.
