With the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812 coming soon, I would like to know if I have any direct descendants that fought for the British or the United States?

These records are all on micro film ( understandable ) The films contain index cards of all soldiers service records in the 1812 war website--> tntel.tnsos.org < has the records on line in their electronic Library I do not know if it is available to the world wide internet - It may be just for the States/state .
