Looking for William Squires of Leicestershire
In am looking for info on WILLIAM SQUIRES and JANE KENNEDY. I have found them in the 1841 england census, they have 4 children, Joseph, Samuel, Ann and Maria.They lived in Mountsorrel Leicestershire. Birth dates would be around the 1800. In the 1851 sensus on Jane, Joseph, Samuel and Maria can be found, Ann died in 1846? I can not find any marriage details for William and Jane, or death info for william between the 2 census dates. I have details of the children from when they arrived in Australia in 1856. William would be my GGGgrandfather.

William Squire ( no S) married Jane Kennady in Bangalore, Indian Subcontinent 1834 : listed in the Army Marriage returns for 1796 - 1880. I guess William must have been in the Army
If fact I think Jane had a sister Eliza who also married in the same year in the same place so I guess you can assume that her father was also in the army
I dont think this my William Squires or Jane Kennedy, there first child was born in 1827, the next 1833, then 1837 and 1841. I also know that they could not read or write and William was listed as Agrculture work and Jane was a steamstress in a local mill,so at this stage the timeine and location dons't fit.
