9 April 1860 to Burnham (175/7-641)
30 June 1860 pensioned (under Greenwich scheme)

Child 2: Sarah KENT, 1834, born Youghal, County Cork, IRELAND

Hi there
We share a common ancestor in Benjamin Kent. I have also being trying to research this branch of the family and came across your post via a google search. James Selby/Silby and Elizabeth Ann Kent are my great great great grandparents. Their daughter Lillian Kent Silby b 1863 (older sister of James Kent Silby) married my great great grandfather Albert Edward Whitehead and they lived in Palmerston North, NZ
Also to let you know that I think Richard Bride's wife was Mary Bowles b approx 1780 not sure where
Oh wow! Thanks for the information and contact. I have been working on this one for a bit now and while I have now got a little more information, I have still not found the missing brides - ie: who Benjamin Kent's mother was, etc. I have also not had any break-thru's in the looking for birth records. However, it is great to "meet" a fellow cousin. Do you have an Ancestry Tree? Would love to catch up with you more and to share our common family history in more detail. Cheers, Suzie
