Looking to Anyone Conducting Research Especially Those with Results John Walsh Jun 1843 Jan 15 1914 Born IN Ireland Immigrated America IN 1864 Died...
I have no information on his parents; per the 1900 census in St Louis, Julia was born abt. 1860, immigrated to America 1873 and died May 18, 1904. Both buried at Calvary Cemetery. Their children; Eugene, Robert, Julia, Edmond, Mary and Edward. Eugene married Hazel Bresnahan/Bresnan, Edmond became a priest, Robert and Julia never married.
Hi Had a look for John walsh, man so many have you any idea where in Ireland at all. One family tree gave me a birth date as 21 June 1843 but nothing else.
Harry
Thanks for researching, Harry. I remember seeing a naturalization document years ago, but someone in the family has it (my former husband's family and I'm researching my daughter's paternal line). Can you explain why I cannot locate it online? :(
Ask your daughter to ask her father's family if she may view the document?
She may be able to get a photo with her phone!
She has but they're huge procrastinators; they tell her they will make a copy and send but never have. I'm going out on a limb here, and speculating only, but the story handed down is possibly his Irish ancestor was a policeman. Dont know if it was John or his father, but the use of Edmond/Edumnd as a middle name was used often for descendants. Looking through that name was a first name, I found a couple of coppers with that name in Tipperary and Limerick, which are both towns I've had an inkling about it.
