OK, no snickering or groaning allowed... I am looking for the birthplace or parents of John SMITH. It's not as hopeless as it may seem on face value. John b:1745 married a good Quaker girl named Mary BULL b:1748 in the Beekman Patent, Dutchess county, New York. Her brother Thomas BULL married John's sister, Martha A. and they all farmed and fought in the Revolution with the Green Mountain Boys in Bennington county, Vermont.

I am interested in hiring a researcher to plop themselves in the Manchester Town Clerk's archive to systematically sift through the holdings for information about this SMITH family.
