Looking for the Marriage of Jane Jones and Unknown Brooks. Jane was born England 1853 and died Jane Brooks, West Melbourne, Victoria, Australia 1925 (daughter of William Jones and Mary Solden)
Searched all the Australian marriage records today but unable to located the marriage for your Jane JONES to BROOKS.
She may not have married in Australia. It's also possible Jane was not married under her maiden name when married to BROOKS. It may have been a second marriage for her.
I came across the birth of an Ida BROOKS born 1901 in Rutherglen to parents John BROOKS and Jane JONES. Jane would have been about 48 years old at the time. Just the same I did not find their marriage, and young Ida died in 1902.
I'm working with the Australian records all this week and will let you know if stumble across any further details. It's very easy to miss things with only the one search as you know.
Thanks The Solden and Jones Family are proving difficult. Jane Jones had a sister Eve born in East Collingwood 1859 and died Victoria 1860. The previous child to William Jones and Mary Solden was , Elizabeth born 1854 at Dartmoor, England. The family all must have came to Australia between 1855-1859. Jane Jones would have been 7 years old at the time of Eve's death. I cant even find a shipping record for this family

Found that Jane BOTTRELL nee Jones this morning.
She was born in Ballarat.
