Tall story about Gold.

I was told by a Tarnagulla local many years ago about a negro named Ruby who found over 80 lbs weight of gold in the Tanagulla area in the early 1850s. Funny thing about it is Ruby was hanged for murder not long after he found the gold.
I never found out what happened to Ruby's gold.
