Let me clear up a couple of things.
Your mother was born Kathleen Ryan or was it BUDIN?

Why I'm asking is if her mother Mary Budin was not married Kathleen would have been born BUDIN and I can't find a registration for a Kathleen BUDIN.
Only Kathleen V Ryan = nsw.bd&m 2031/1902 RYAN KATHLEEN V WILLIAM MARY CAMPERDOWN
If the above is her does the V stand for Violet? and was her mother Mary Violet BUDIN/
DEATHS=nsw.BD&M 20401/1950 DAVIS KATHLEEN (RYAN) 48 YRS CROYDON BURWOOD

Do you have a copy of the Inquest? That would be held at the records office in Western Sydney.

We believe my mother Kathleen was born to Mary Budin (out of wedlock).She was married to Henry Budin but apparently he deserted her years earlier so she was unable to put him down as father and she did not mention who the bio-logical father was.We believe she reverted back to her maiden name for the Birth Certificate.
On Kathleens marriage certificate 1923 at Redfern it shows Mary Budin as mother and David Ryan as her father.(We believe that may have been Mary Budins father.
We have a copy of the inquest but it does not add anything thats already stated in B&D& M certificates.
