My grandfather's name was Serafin Maskill. He was born in Del Rio, March 17, 1888. His family is originally from either Sicily or Florence, Italy...He was married two times in his life and had children from his first marriage and then 3 more from his 2nd marriage and adopted my grandmother's two daughters. He was active in the Masonic Lodge. I am trying to reconstruct my family history. If you have any information please help. Thanks

Hi, my name is Adrian Maskill, son of Jose Angel (born Joe Maskill) of El Paso, Texas. Juan Maskill is my uncle. My father told me that grandma Celestina's maiden name was Rodriguez, and that the boy's names were changed by Aunt Lucrecia after their father, Joe Maskill died (Sam to Salvador, Joe to Jose Angel, etc.) I've had DNA analysis done through Ancestry.com and it seems we are originally from Sicily. As soon as I did the test I was contacted by someone identified as a potential second cousin asking if we are related to the Mascarella family in Italy. It is possible that the family name was changed when they emigrated to the US in the 1800's, since most Maskill's in the US seem to have British roots. I hope this helps. My email address is amaskill@gmail.com, contact me anytime. I'm also researching our family roots.

Hello, my name is Monica Camacho from Devine, Texas. Bessie (Maskill) Pompa was my great grandmother. Sadly she passed away in March of 1993. Never had the pleasure of meeting her side of the family. But I do know she had a brother name Joe. And her mother's name was Celestina (Rodriguez) Maskill who passed away in 1942, and father Sam Maskill who passed in 1943. But this is all I know about my great grandmother's family. Grandma Bessie had 3 daughters. And her daughter Helena (Pompa) Mendoza had 7 children. One is my father Albert Mendoza. I have been trying to learn of my family's history as well. Especially my grandma's Bessie's side because I don't know anyone from that side. But always wanted to. And just from this page alone I've been able to see that I have relative who are looking for the same. Me and my aunt Melissa have been trying for a few years now to find family of my great grandma, and feel are hoping that we finally have found some. My email address is zenfulbeautyspirit@gmail.com. If you have any questions or can tell me more of our family, it would greatly; tremendously appreciated.
