Maslen Missing Link Between All Cannings Wiltshire and London

I've traced my branch of the Maslen family back to Joseph William Maslen, born in Bethnal Green 1815, London and died in Chelsea 1886, but have hit a brick wall and would welcome any assistance please.
The largest concentration of Maslen families are in All Cannings, Wiltshire and my hunch is there is a missing link between them and the London Maslens, but I cannot find it?
Perhaps it happened when the railways first went into service?
Any help would be greatly appreciated please.
