Matilda Emma Garland Malcolm

Is my Ggrandmother. Father Samuel Garland b. abt. 1827, PA. Mother Katherine (Catherine) Buchanan b. abt. 1839, NY, d. bef. 1880. Cannot find info on these people. One relative thought maybe Katherine's parents were John and Elida (Wemple) Buchanan but I can't find any connection. And Samuel Garland is a total dead end altho a census report stated his parent were born in Baden. Any information would be greatly appreciated. samismimi@yahoo.com
