Seeking any information on Matilda Washington b.Abt. 1800 in Barnwell Co.,SC. who Married Oliver Herrin Griffith. Matilda and Oliver were my husbands ggg grandparents. There were possibly two uncles an Abraham and James. I would like to know the names of her parents, g-parents etc and any siblings. Any information would be appreciated.

Oliver and Matilda are my ggg grandparents also, through Elihu. I have tried for 20 years to find Matilda's parents, etc. Matilda died abt 1843 in Randolph County, Georgia; Oliver died abt 1885 in Dale County, Al. Matilda's father was most likely Thomas Washington. Thomas would have been about the age of James and Abraham, I believe. John Washington, also shown in 1810 census for Barnwell, was born in 1793. He likely is a brother or another cousin of Matilda. If you have any more info on Matilda, i would appreciate some help.
