my great grandfather was Richard McGrane (1829-1891) arrived in Australia about 1858, settled in Malmsbury, Victoria looking for overseas records, probably Ireland, father was Richard & mother was Jennie (unknown surname)
The Age Monday 21 November 1864 MARRIAGE M'Grane - Ryan. On the 17th inst., at St. Killian's Church, Sandhurst, by the Rev. F. Corbet, Richard M'Grane, of Penberly [sic]Station, Malmsbury, to Johanna, eldest daughter of James Ryan, Esq., of Glenpadden, county Tipperary, Ireland.
Richard McGrane died on 2 January 1891 at Piper-street Kyneton His second son Christopher, also died there a month before on 5 December 1890. The Kyneton Historical Society should have information regarding your Richard M'Grane and certainly about Pemberley station which was once the home of Jessie Catherine Couvreur
