Rose Ann GARDENER, fa.John GARDENER (land steward), Mo. Rosannah ALLEN. Rose Ann, married Robert McKAY about 1848-49.
Together with their two little daughters, Rosanne and Elizabeth, both born in County Antrim, the family left Ireland arriving in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on board the "Marco Polo" in 1852.
In the 1850's two more daughters and a son, were born in Fitzroy and Collingwood, both very early suburbs of Melbourne.
Rosanne married James Peter Milites COYLE. Elizabeth married William Cobrey BARNETT. The only son, Robert Gardener married Charlotte BURNELL. Another daughter Ellen, died in her teens and the youngest girl married into the McLEAY family. Elizabeth is my great grandmother, information of her place of birth and names of parents from her marriage records.

Rose Ann died in the late 1800's in the Melbourne Hospital. Her parents names etc.obtained from her death certificate.
